Timex Expedition^® H1Y652 Analog Women's Watch with Date and Night Light

Women's Casual Watch with Three-Hand Display, Date, Electro-Luminescent Night Light, Genuine Leather Strap, and 50 Meter Water Resistance

Timex Expedition watches make up a large portion of the Timex Outdoor watch line. Within this line are several groups, or families, of watches, each with a specific feature complement. And while it isn't indicated on the package, we figure that the Timex Expedition H1Y652 Analog Women's Watch may belong to the Outdoor Casual family of watches. Although this watch is midsize at just over 1-1/4 inches in diameter, its strap definitely makes it a woman's watch. The strap fits wrist sizes from about 5-1/2 to 7-1/4 inches. Unlike some women's watches, this one has a second hand in addition to hour and minute hands.

The case of the H1Y652 watch is gold-tone metal that's polished on the bezel and crown and matte-finished elsewhere. We've seen the dial color described as brown, but it looks like a medium-dark gray to us. The hour numbers from 1 to 11 are a slightly grayish white. At the 12 o'clock position is an orange Expedition symbol. The date window takes the place of the hour number at 3 o'clock and shows the date in black on white. The hour and minute hands are black with pale green luminescent centers, and the second hand is gold-tone. The strap is black leather with a lightly embossed alligator grain and a polished gold-tone metal buckle. The back of the watch case is stainless steel.

Pressing the watch's crown lights the bright blue INDIGLO^® electro-luminescent night light for as long as the crown is depressed. The night light illuminates the entire face evenly so that you can see all three hands clearly.

The H1Y652 watch has a convenient "FAST DATE" feature that allows you to set the date independently of the time. To set the date, you pull the 3-position crown out to its middle position and turn the crown either direction. To set the time, you pull the crown all the way out and turn it either direction. To use the watch's night light, the crown must be in its innermost position for normal timekeeping.

Timex has long been noted for offering products of high quality and durability at very affordable prices. The H1Y652 analog women's watch is no exception. If you're a woman who wants a fairly large and ruggedly built watch for casual and outdoor wear, the Timex H1Y652 Expedition is a very sensible choice.

Powered by one CR2016 battery. Expected battery life is not specified for this watch, but just so you know, the shortest battery life expectancy we have seen specified for a Timex watch powered by a CR2016 is 2.5 years. You'll increase the battery life if you don't use the night light excessively.
