Carriage by Timex is a line of affordable fashion watches for women who want to keep up with changing trends but not spend a small fortune doing so. Some Carriage watches tend toward the contemporary, while others offer a more classic look. The Timex Carriage C50391 Analog Women's Watch is a combination of both that works quite nicely. The case and band offer clean, unfussy styling that is definitely modern. The ornate numbers on the face, in contrast, are on the classic side.

For a woman's watch, the C50391 is quite large at about 1-1/8 inch in diameter. Because the numbers on the face are also larger (at slightly taller than 1/8 inch) than those on most women's watches, the C50391 may work well for some women with mild vision impairment. This watch has a fairly wide expansion band that is easy to put on and fits a wide range of wrist sizes. Unlike some women's watches, the C50391 has a second hand in addition to hour and minute hands.

The case of the C50391 is silver-tone metal with a polished finish. The watch face is circular in shape and white in color with black hour and minute hands and a polished silver-tone second hand. The large, easily readable hour numbers are in a serif type face that's classically ornate and adds a distinctive styling touch. The polished silver-tone stainless steel expansion band matches the case. The crystal on this watch is flat, not curved. The back of the watch case is stainless steel.
