You can press the buttons to have the
On-Time talking atomic watch tell you the time, date, day of the
week and year. The watch will even verbally walk you through setting
the alarm, and hourly announcement. Every function can be used
in total darkness, or by someone who is blind or severely visually
impaired.
The case is
plastic, designed to let the WWVB radio waves inside to reach
the antenna. The band is a steel stretch band and fits wrists
7" around or larger.

Note:
This is an "atomic" watch. Atomic (or radio
controlled) watches receive a radio signal to set themselves.
Like any AM radio receiver, however, they may not be able to
receive the signal if they are in a building with a lot of steel
in the structure, near computers or other electrical equipment
that may generate interference, or if the weather is unsuitable.
The signal they receive does not propagate well during the day.
That's the nature of the signal, not the watch. These watches
are designed to catch the signal when they can, generally in the
middle of the night, calibrate themselves, and then run quite
accurately for days until they can catch another signal. If you
are finding that the reception indicator is indicating that
reception hasn't been successful, you may need
to put your watch in a place where the signal is stronger,
possibly near a window facing Colorado, overnight. Also,
daylight saving time changes may not be made the first night if
the location and weather are not favorable.
