Hygrometers & Thermo-hygrometersBelow are our hygrometers and thermo-hygrometers. Some of
the wireless remote reading thermo-hygrometers read humidity both indoors and
out, some only read indoor humidity. The less expensive hygrometers are really
designed to give you an idea of what the humidity is, high or low, and how it's
changing. They will be fairly accurate at around normal room temperature and
humidity, but accuracy often falls off outside of that range, as it just isn't
easy to accurately measure humidity over a range of conditions. If you need
better accuracy, take a look at the specifications of some of the more
professional or industrial units.

Precision-built in Germany, the Taylor 5565 Industrial Hygrometer/Thermometer is a dial-type indoor thermo-hygrometer that shows the relative humidity (RH) in percent on its large scale and the temperature in °F and °C on its smaller scale. Attesting to the 5565's accuracy is an available Certificate of Conformance from the Taylor USA Department of Engineering. The 5565 has a black steel case with a polished silver-tone bezel, a black-on-white dial, and a convex glass lens.

The AcuRite 00613 Digital Hygrometer is a specialized device. It is designed to primarily monitor indoor relative humidity, although it does monitor temperature as well. The largest portion of the display of the 00613 is dedicated to the indoor relative humidity reading, and an indoor comfort level display that indicates whether the relative humidity is high, OK, or low. The Acu-Rite 00613 can be used in the home, or in business, food service or manufacturing environments where humidity extremes can be a problem.
