TE211W Honeywell
Wireless Indoor Outdoor Thermometer
|
|
|
The TE211W by Honeywell
is a quality wireless indoor outdoor thermometer
and alarm clock with dual alarm. The TE211W has a three line display
with a momentary LED backlight.
Honeywell has been the name to trust for high
quality indoor environmental controls for years. Now you can have the same
quality in environmental monitoring. For high quality environmental
instrumentation, why not go with Honeywell, the name you know you
can trust?

The TE211W is silver with
black trim, and stands about 5 inches tall. It is designed to be
placed free standing on a table, nightstand or shelf.
|
|
The first line of the display
indicates indoor and remote temperature. The TE211W can
display remote temperature from up to three locations (one sender
included). Also included is an outdoor temperature trend
indicator, indicating rising, steady or falling temperature.
The second line of the display
indicates time in hours, minutes and seconds, in your choice of 12
or 24 hour format. Optionally, the time display can be set to
indicate hours, minutes and day of the week in English, French,
Spanish, German or Italian. |
|
|
|
The clock receives radio transmissions from
the U.S. commerce department, and remains synchronized to the official
U.S. atomic clock for split second accuracy. Daylight savings time
changes are automatic (DST changes may be optionally disabled).
The third line of the display indices the
month and date.
Alarm functions include a weekday alarm, a
single day alarm, and a cold weather pre-alarm.
- The Weekday alarm will sound at your
chosen time every day of the week, Monday through Friday.
- The single day alarm is set to sound
once. It can be used to wake at a different time any day of the
week without disturbing the weekday setting.
- The cold weather pre-alarm feature
allows you to set the alarm to go off early if the outdoor temperature
is below freezing. The pre-alarm feature can be set to trigger
the weekday or single alarm early, in increments of 15 minutes, from
15 minutes to 90 minutes.
Remote temperature data is
transmitted from up to 100 feet away (depending on obstructions and
interference).
Temperatures may be displayed in either °F
or °C. Minimum and Maximum indoor and outdoor temperature
readings, since the last reset, are stored, and can be displayed with the
push of a button.
One TS13C remote temperature transmitter is
included. Up to three remote transmitters can be used with the TE211W.
Remotes can be any combination of the following:
- TS13C The TS13C remote transmits
temperature data, and has an LCD display of it's own, displaying the
temperature reading that it also transmits.
- TS13F The TS13F remote transmits
temperature like the TS13C. The temperature is actually sensed
at the end of a waterproof external probe wire. The TS13F can be
used for many applications, including pool, pond or spa temperature,
refrigerator or freezer temperature, greenhouse or soil temperature.
- TS03C The TS03C is functionally
the same as the TS13C, except that it has no LCD display of its own.

Note: The
Honeywell TE211W Wireless Indoor Outdoor Thermometer
and Alarm Clock has
"atomic" clock functionality. Atomic, or Radio Controlled clocks,
receive a radio signal to set themselves. Like any radio receiver however, they
may not be able to receive the signal if they are in a building with a lot of
steel in the structure, near computers or other electrical equipment that may
generate interference, or if the weather is unsuitable. The signal they receive
does not propagate well during the day. That's the nature of the signal, not the
clock. These clocks are designed to catch the signal when they can, generally in
the middle of the night, calibrate themselves, and then run quite accurately for
days until they can catch another signal. When you first put in the batteries,
they will most likely not set themselves until the middle of the night. That's
normal. By morning, weather permitting, it should be correct. Under less than
ideal conditions, it could take a few days. Daylight savings time changes may
not be made the first night if location and weather are not favorable.

If the order
button is there, but the shopping cart page indicates that there
are no units available, then we are temporarily out of stock.
The item should be available in a day or two. Our

allowing the sale of something we don't have on the shelf.
If there is no
order button, most likely there are bigger problems with
availability. We may be out of stock for more than a few
days.
