The Taylor 5816 Professional Chef's Timer is a small digital timer with recall and stopwatch features and an attached cord that lets you wear the timer around your neck. The 5816 counts up to or down from 99 minutes 59 seconds for use in kitchen, lab, laundry, darkroom, or wherever. The minutes and seconds digits are 1/4 inch tall.

Here are a couple of things you might want to know: To reset the timer, you press the minutes (MIN) and seconds (SEC) buttons simultaneously. Also, you may see this timer advertised as having a 3/8-inch LCD readout. This is the height of the LCD panel itself, not the digits in it. As mentioned above, the digits are actually 1/4 inch tall. 

The 5816 Chef's Timer runs on one long-life LR44 (1.5V) alkaline button cell battery, which is included and preinstalled. All you need to do to power up the 5816 is remove the insulating strip that prevents battery drain during shipping. The 5816 is covered by a Taylor 1-year limited warranty.
