Please Note: When the #501 Taylor needs cleaning, do so with a damp cloth. Grease and other hard-to-remove soil on the metal parts can be removed with a scouring pad. The #501 can be immersed in water, but do not wash it in a dishwasher. Store the #501 in its plastic sheath.

Caution: Do not leave the #501 thermometer in the oven while cooking. If you are roasting meat, for example, remove the meat from the oven and insert the thermometer into the meat to check the internal temperature. Then remove the thermometer from the meat and return the meat to the oven if further roasting is necessary.
