Our retro and reproduction antique alarm clocks are made by Westclox. These are very popular with bed and breakfasts and others that want to decorate bedrooms with a period look, as well as those people who just prefer the older style clocks, some with real bells instead of electronic beepers. Westclox has become a Salton brand.  Salton, a large international corporation, has begun reproducing likenesses of many of the classic Big and Baby Bend designs.

These Big and Baby Bens are now built overseas, where these clocks can again be produced at a competitive cost. We are often asked how close to the original American made Bens these are.  They are not exact reproductions, parts will probably not interchange, and in some cases modern features, such as snooze alarm features and battery operated quartz movements, have been unobtrusively added.  They are, however, an amazing tribute to the originals.  They maintain the look and feel of the original.  Where the originals were steel or cast metal, so are these. Where the originals were heavy, so are these.  The Futura models, born in the era of futuristic plastic molded designs, reflect that era. Even the box these Big and Baby Bens come in looks like it could be an original.  I am impressed every time I look at one of these.  If I found one on the nightstand at a bed and breakfast, or on a table at a flea market, I'd have to look twice to know it was a reproduction.  These clocks have the feel of quality, and are built with modern production techniques allowing fit and finish exceeding the originals.
