|  Acu-Rite 00955 Wireless Remote Temperature Sensor
The Acu-Rite 00955 Wireless Remote Temperature Sensor can be used with the with the Acu-Rite 00736, 00754, 00852, 00683A2, and 00683A3 Wireless Thermometers. Each of these units works with up to three remotes. Although some of these thermometers come with a different remote, all can use the 00955. On the front of the 00955 is an LCD panel for local viewing of temperatures.

The Acu-Rite 00984 Wireless Temperature & Humidity Sensor can be used with the Acu-Rite 00592W, 00593W Wireless Weather Stations. Each of these products can work with up to three remotes. The 00984 has its own LCD panel for local viewing and comes with a removable wired temperature probe. This remote can be wall-mounted or sit on a horizontal surface.

The La Crosse Technology Weather Instruments TX3UP temperature sender has a waterproof probe and a temperature display on the sender. The La Crosse Technology TX3UP may be used to monitor soil temperature, pool temperature, hot tub temperature, freezer or refrigerator temperature, or may be placed indoors with the probe routed outdoors through a window for extreme climates. The TX3UP uses 2 AAA batteries.

The La Crosse Technology Weather Instruments TX6U is the more common remote temperature only sensor for the La Crosse Technology weather instruments. The La Crosse Technology TX6U does not have a display of it’s own. The TX6U uses 2 AA batteries (alkaline batteries included), and is excellent for use for extended periods of operation in cold temperatures. In harsh climates, the alkaline batteries in the TX6U may be replaced with Lithium batteries for extended low temperature operation.

The TX7U Temperature and Humidity Sensor reports the outdoor temperature and humidity (or any other location whose temperature and humidity you wish to know) to the station. This remote sensor features its own LCD display for local viewing of the temperature in °F and the relative humidity in percent. The remote has a water-resistant case, but it must not be installed in a location where rain can fall directly on it.
