The PT-015
Weather Station Alarm Clock is a quartz-controlled alarm clock with a
virtually silent sweep second hand plus a thermometer, barometer, and
hygrometer. This time and weather
station features clean, modern styling and a very modest price. We think it
looks like it should cost a lot more that it does. At about 4 inches
tall and
about 8 1/4 inches wide,
the PT-015 will look great on a table, shelf, or desktop in a home or office.
The PT-015 Weather Station is
designed for the Gift and Premium market. As you can see in the photo, this
product is designed with plenty of room on the base for
printing a company logo, a promotional or advertising message,
or anything else you may want. A reasonable price
makes this weather station clock a perfect corporate promotional item or gift
for special clients and employees. Important
Information About the Barometer: The
barometer dial on the PT-015 indicates the air pressure in two
different metric units. The outer scale is numbered in multiples
of 10 hectopascals (hPa x 10). A reading of 101, for example,
actually indicates 1010 hectopascals. The inner scale is
numbered in centimeters of mercury (cmHg). To convert to inches
of mercury (inHg), simply divide the reading by 2.54. A reading
of 76 cmHg, for example, converts to 29.92 inHg. The
adjustable brass pointer on the barometer allows you to
determine whether the air pressure is steady, rising, or
falling. Simply turn the knurled knob on the front of the
barometer so that the brass pointer is at the same position as
the black pointer. When you return at a later time, note where
the black pointer is in relation to the brass pointer.
The PT-015 is designed to be
inexpensive, a nice clock, and an attractive decoration.
The weather instruments will give good indication of what is
going on around you, but at this price, they should not be
expected to be highly accurate laboratory instruments.
