Clip this tiny pedometer to your waistband and enjoy your favorite FM radio station in stereo as you keep track of the number of steps you take and the distance you cover while you walk or run--as well as the elapsed time and the time of day. The pedometer itself is so small and light you'll hardly know it's there, and the miniature earphone "buttons" stay securely and comfortably in place--unlike headsets that often require frequent readjustment.

The pedometer's LCD display is easy to read and features a brilliant blue HiGlo™ backlight for low-light conditions. And you can set the real-time digital clock for either 12- or 24-hour operation, as desired.

The PE316FM has three operating modes. STEP measures the number of steps you take. DIST/TIMER measures the distance you cover and the elapsed time. STRIDE is used to set the length of your walking or running stride for accurate distance measurements. The ST/SP button on the pedometer starts and stops its count-up timer. The pedometer uses two LR44 1.5V batteries, which are included.

Note 1: This is the "Imperial" version of the PE316FM, which means that you set your stride length in inches and you view your distance traveled in miles and tenths.

Note 2: Oregon Scientific's three other pedometers are the PE316PM with pulse meter and calorie counter, the PE316CA with calorie counter (no pulse meter or count-up timer), and the PE319 with panic alarm. If one of these better suits your needs, please check it out on this website.
