If you live in North America within radio range of the U.S. atomic clock (about 2000 miles) but travel abroad frequently, the RM323A will serve as a great traveling companion. It's a compact yet full-featured digital travel alarm clock with local time and calendar, world time for 130 cities around the globe, dual crescendo alarms with snooze, and an available hourly chime. This clock features a large, two-line LCD display and a bright blue electro-luminescent (EL) backlight for night viewing. Included with the RM323A are a convenient travel/storage pouch with Velcro closure and two pre-installed AAA batteries.

As mentioned above, the clock's two required AAA batteries are pre-installed. Just open the battery compartment and remove the plastic insulating strip, and the clock is ready for set-up and use. Set-up, by the way, is simple and straightforward. One reason for this is the small, spring-loaded rotary knob on the side of the clock that lets you quickly and easily scroll up or down at the touch of a fingertip to increase or decrease a setting. 

Thin and pocket-sized, the RM323A is cleanly styled with a silver and gray front panel and contrasting black case. A sturdy integral stand folds out for placement of the clock on a nightstand or table and then folds in, flush with the case, for travel or storage. You also extend the stand to remove the battery compartment cover (it slides downward) when replacement time comes around. The clock's pre-installed batteries are not alkaline, but we strongly recommend alkaline cells for replacement.
