The Oregon Scientific RM313PA Kids' Atomic Projection Alarm Clock sets itself automatically, self-corrects for Daylight Saving Time, and is so precise it meets O.A.T.S. stock-trading requirements. The extra bonus? It projects the time in softly glowing red numbers on the wall or ceiling!

The RM313PA is designed to appeal to the younger set, but we think many grownups will get a kick out of it, too. The clock features a daily crescendo alarm with 8-minute snooze function, a calendar display, a bright blue HiGlo™ backlight--and the absolute accuracy of ExactSet technology.

The top line of the clock's two-line LCD window shows the current time along with either seconds or weekday. The weekday abbreviation is user-selectable for three different languages. The current time can also be projected on a wall or ceiling. The second line of the display shows the month and date (or the alarm setting) and a U.S. map icon with the selected time zone. Included with the clock are the two required AA batteries plus a wall plug-in power supply for continuous use of the projection feature.

Features and Benefits:

Incredibly accurate radio-controlled clock automatically synchronizes itself to the U.S. atomic clock in Colorado. The clock automatically initiates a WWVB time-signal search 6 times every 24 hours.
Clock automatically adjusts for Daylight Saving Time.
Radio reception can be disabled if you wish to manually set the clock.
Two LCD time display modes are available via the clock's MODE switch:
- current time (hh:mm and AM/PM) in 12-hour format with seconds.
- current time (hh:mm and AM/PM) in 12-hour format with weekday.
Weekday abbreviation is user-selectable for any of three languages: English, French, or Spanish.
Month and date (LCD display) are shown simultaneously with the time.
Projected time is the current time (hh:mm and AM/PM).
Projection duration is 5 seconds when the clock is battery powered. Projection is continuous when the clock is powered by the included ac adapter and the PROJECTION ON switch is set to On.
U.S. map icon shows the selected time zone (Pacific, Mountain, Central, or Eastern).
Additional icons in the LCD window are a radio-reception icon, an alarm icon that appears when the alarm is set, and an alarm-time icon that appears when the alarm time is displayed.
Alarm is a 2-step crescendo pattern with 2-minute duration and an 8-minute snooze function.
A bright blue HiGlo electro-luminescent backlight is provided for night viewing of the LCD display.
The clock is designed for placement on a nightstand, table, shelf, or other flat surface.
Two AA batteries and an ac adapter are included with the clock. The batteries are preinstalled. The ac adapter must be used for continuous projection.
