The Oregon Scientific EMR812 Multi-Channel Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer simultaneously displays indoor and outdoor temperatures in bold numbers over 1 inch tall. Outdoor temperature data is transmitted to the main station by an included THR138 remote sensor/transmitter, and this compact digital thermometer can operate with up to 3 remotes. The EMR812 has a min/max memory for all temperatures and programmable high and low audible temperature alerts for all active remote channels.

It is designed for monitoring pool, hot tub or pond temperatures, or monitoring something that can shield signals, such as the inside of a refrigerator, freezer or metal building. For extremely harsh environments, such as my customers in Alaska, you could put the probe out the window to display outside temperature both at the sensor and the console, while keeping the electronics indoors.

It's called a cold weather sensor because, with lithium batteries, it can operate at temperatures down to -40°C/F. The THGN123N's high temperature limit is +60°C/+140°F, so it works in hot weather as well as cold.
