The Maverick CL-333 Power Base and Outdoor Sensor Kit is a special option package for the Maverick CL-935 Flag World Clock Weather Station and Maverick CL-938 Deluxe World Clock Weather Station. The CL-333 kit consists of a wireless remote temperature and humidity sensor/transmitter and a powered base for the CL-935 or CL-938 that is the receiver for the remote. With the CL-333 package, the CL-935 and CL-938 can display outdoor (or other remote) temperature and humidity as well as indoor.

To use the remote and base, here's what you do: Power up the CL-935 or CL-938 main station first. Next, open the battery compartment on the CL-333 base and remove the insulating strip (four AAA batteries are included and preinstalled). Then open the main station's battery compartment and remove a rubber cover in the center to expose an 8-pin male connector. Put the battery compartment cover back on the main station, and then place the main station on the CL-333 receiver base so that the connector on the main station plugs into the female connector on the receiver base. Be sure to orient the main station so that the pin adjacent to the connector on the base fits into the hole in the battery compartment cover. Set the power switch on the back of the base to ON.

Then open the battery compartment on the thermo-hygro remote and remove the insulating strip (three AA batteries are preinstalled). For now, keep the remote close to the main unit. A red LED on the remote flashes to indicate that it is transmitting. When reception occurs, you can mount the remote in the desired location. Maximum transmission range of the remote is 50 meters (165 feet) in open space with no interference. The remote is a non-displaying unit designed for wall mounting. You can hang it on a nail or screw via its keyhole slot, or you can secure the included bracket to a wall and slide the remote into the bracket.

If you wish, you can power the CL-333 receiver base from an ac adapter, in which case the batteries serve as power backup. The adapter is not included and must be obtained separately. You'll need one that provides 9Vdc output at 200 to 650mA output from 120Vac 60Hz input. The adapter's 9V plug must be center positive.

The CL-333 is covered by a 1-year manufacturer's limited warranty.
