Honeywell
TS33F Remote Temperature and Humidity Sensor with Probe |
|
|
Honeywell weather stations and digital clocks that display outdoor
temperature or outdoor temperature and humidity require wireless remote
sensors to sense the weather data and transmit it to the station or clock.
These stations and clocks include the necessary sensor, but some stations
and clocks can receive signals from up to three sensors, in which case any
additional sensors desired must be ordered separately.

The Honeywell TS33F
is white with a red LED on the
front that flashes once when temperature data is being transmitted
and twice when the battery gets low. The LCD panel above the LED
shows the temperature in your choice of °C or
°F and the humidity in percent. The cable and probe are white
to match the remote.

The Honeywell
TS33F Remote Temperature and Humidity Sensor with Probe is a remote transmitter
designed primarily for use with Honeywell weather instruments
and clocks that display both temperature and humidity. The
TS33F reports the temperature and humidity from its outdoor location (or from any
other location whose temperature and humidity you wish to know) to the weather
station or clock. In addition to the temperature probe on a 10-foot (3-meter)
cable, this sensor has its own LCD temperature and humidity display for viewing at the location where it is
installed. The probe on the TS33F is removable,
so this remote can sense temperature either by means of the probe
or, with the probe removed, by means of an internal sensor. Please
be aware that the probe senses temperature only, not humidity. Because
the probe and cable are waterproof, the.TS33F can be used for many
applications, including pool, pond, or spa, refrigerator
or freezer, and greenhouse or soil. Also, in
really cold weather, you could use the TS33F to sense outdoor
temperature by extending the probe out of a window with the remote
safely indoors (in which case the humidity reading would be for
indoor humidity).

The TS33F is well suited to extended low temperature operation. When
temperatures below freezing are expected for an
extended time period, you can install lithium AA batteries instead
of alkaline. Lithium cells provide superior performance in sub-zero
temperature conditions. The display may fade in severe cold, but
this is normal for liquid crystals, and the display should reappear
when temperatures warm to freezing and above.
In the battery
compartment of the TS33F are a channel 1, 2, or 3 selection switch,
a switch that selects °C or
°F for the transmitted and displayed temperature,
and a Reset button that you press with a paper clip or similar tool
after changing the batteries.
The TS33F
Temperature and Humidity Sensor with Probe can rest on a horizontal surface, or it can be
wall-mounted via a keyhole slot on the back. The remote transmits 433 MHz signals
and operates on two AA alkaline or lithium batteries (not included).
Average battery life is approximately 1 year. The LED on the TS33F flashes
once when it transmits a temperature reading to the main unit. When it
flashes twice, this indicates a low battery condition.
Note on
Remote Sensor Compatibility: You can use a Honeywell temperature and
humidity sensor with a Honeywell product that displays temperature only,
in which case humidity is not displayed for the temperature-humidity sensor's
channel. Similarly, you can use a Honeywell temperature-only sensor with a
Honeywell product that displays both temperature and humidity, but the
humidity display for the temperature sensor's channel will be blank.
For years, Honeywell has been the name to
trust for high-quality indoor environmental controls. Now you can have the
same high quality in environmental monitoring. For superior environmental
instrumentation, why not go with Honeywell, the name you know you can
depend on?
