Display:
The first line of the Honeywell TC150 rain
gauge displays rainfall in your choice of inches or mm in 3/8 inch
digits. Statistics are kept for seven days. You may choose to
display rainfall for the last hour, the last 24 hours, or the last
seven days. Rainfall information is transmitted to the display from
up to 100 feet away by the wireless remote self emptying rainfall
sensor. The second line of the Honeywell
TC150 rain gauge displays indoor and outdoor temperature, in your choice
of degrees F or C, in 3/8 inch digits. Remote temperature data is
sent to the display from up to 100 feet away by the included remote
sender. Additional temperature senders may be purchased in order to
monitor temperature in up to two additional locations. If additional
remote sensors are used, the channel button selects which remote is
displayed, or the TC150 may be configured to scroll through the readings
of the remotes. Minimum and maximum temperature values reached, both
indoors and for all remote senders, since the last manual reset, may also
be displayed.
Note that the Honeywell TC150, unlike some
products, uses separate senders for temperature and rainfall data.
This is a superior method, as the rainfall sensor can be placed out
in the open to receive accurate rainfall data, while the temperature
sensor can be located in the shade, to minimize the inaccuracies
caused by sunlight warming the temperature sensor.
The third line of the Honeywell TC150 rain
gauge displays the current time in your choice of 12 or 24 hour
format, in 3/8 inch digits. Available display modes are hours,
minutes and seconds, or hours, minutes and day of the week (in
English, Spanish, French, German or Italian). Alternately, the
date may be displayed, in either month:date or date:month
format.
Alarms:
The Honeywell TC150 has a high rainfall alarm
feature. When rainfall during the last 24 hours exceeds the
value you choose, an alarm will sound. The rainfall alarm
could give you the warning you need if you live in an area prone to
flooding.
The Honeywell TC150 alarm functions
also include a weekday alarm, a
single day alarm, and a cold weather pre-alarm.
- The weekday alarm will sound at your
chosen time every day of the week, Monday through Friday.
- The single day alarm is set to sound
once. It can be used to wake at a different time any day of the
week without disturbing the weekday setting.
- The cold weather pre-alarm feature
allows you to set the alarm to go off early if the outdoor temperature
is below freezing. The pre-alarm feature can be set to trigger
the weekday or single alarm early in increments of 15 minutes, from
15 minutes to 90 minutes.
Additional temperature remotes:
One TS13C remote temperature
transmitter is included. Up to two additional remote temperature transmitters can be used
with the TC150. Remotes can be
any combination of the following:
- TS13C. The TS13C remote transmits
temperature data and has an LCD display of its own,
displaying the temperature reading that it also
transmits.
- TS13F. The TS13F remote transmits
temperature like the TS13C. The temperature is
actually sensed at the end of a waterproof external probe wire. The TS13F can be used for many applications, including pool, pond, or
spa temperature, refrigerator or freezer temperature, and greenhouse or
soil temperature.
- TS03C. The TS03C is functionally
the same as the TS13C except that the TS03C has no LCD display of its own.
