808-Taylor Weekend Warrior Remote Probe Digital Meat Thermometer and Timer

The 808-Taylor Weekend Warrior Remote Probe Digital Meat Thermometer and Timer reads the temperature of the meat you are cooking from outside the grill or oven. Just insert the stainless steel probe into the meat to be cooked, run the silicone rubber covered probe wire out of the cooking chamber, and plug it into the thermometer.  Without having to open the grill or oven to read the temperature of the meat, you can maintain a more even cooking temperature. The 808-Taylor digital meat thermometer also has a digital timer, which may be used for the same, or a second food item.

At the top of the display is the current temperature of the food in digits around 5/16 inch tall.  The temperature may be indicated in either °F or °C.  In the center of the display is a graphic display that indicates both the level of doneness you have chosen (rare, medium rare, medium, well done, or poultry), and the current temperature. The bottom line of the display can display either the target temperature for the doneness you have selected, or the timer reading in 1/4 inch digits.  The display also has a display backlight that illuminates the display for about 3 seconds whenever a button is pressed

The Taylor Weekend Warrior Model 808 digital meat thermometer can be used by simply choosing a doneness level, or you may set a target temperature of your own.  When the meat reaches the target temperature, an alarm will sound. 

Note: Modern grills can reach very high internal temperatures, and grease flare-ups can be very hot.  Care must be taken to keep from exceeding the temperature range of the probe wire by routing the probe wire away from possible flare-ups, and keeping the grill chamber temperature reasonable.
