The 1436-Taylor Digital Wireless Remote Temperature Sensor monitors the temperature at an outdoor or other remote location and transmits the reading to an associated Taylor Digital Wireless Indoor Outdoor Thermometer main unit for display at that location. The Taylor 1436 remote is the standard remote for Taylor models 1431 and 1468.  The Taylor 1436 may be used for a replacement for the primary sender on these models, or may be used as an additional remote if the main unit has multi-remote capability.

If used outdoors, the 1436 should be mounted in a sheltered location out of direct sunlight and where direct precipitation cannot fall on it. Although this remote is splash-resistant, it is not waterproof.

The 1436 remote is powered by two AAA (1.5V) alkaline batteries. These are not included and must be obtained separately. Expected battery life is 1 year.
