The #802 Taylor Weekend Warrior is a high quality dial thermometer with a range from 120 to 210°F and a highly readable large 2 3/4" face. The #802 by Taylor is targeted at backyard grilling, with the Weekend Warrior graphics and luminescent dial designed for better visibility in low light. But don't be fooled into thinking this isn't a professional quality instrument. The #802 is fully NSF certified for professional food service use* (see below) and is dishwasher safe for easy cleaning.

The #802 Taylor Weekend Warrior is a fully NSF certified professional grade meat and food thermometer. The Taylor 802 has a large, highly readable 2 1/2 inch luminescent dial and a 5 inch stainless steel stem.

*NSF Certification: What does NSF certification mean to you? The short answer is that NSF certification means that the design, materials, production process and quality controls used in the production of a product have been verified and certified for food safety by a highly respected third party non-profit organization. NSF certification is often required by health departments for all products used in the storage and preparation of food. Getting, and maintaining NSF certification for a product is an involved process, and the added quality controls can add to the cost of the product. For this reason, you will not see the NSF certified symbol on low quality products that are manufactured to be sold at the lowest possible prices with little regard to safety and accuracy.

NSF certification cannot guarantee that a product is functioning correctly. After all, with improper handling and use, the best instruments can be knocked out of calibration, and NSF certification does not in itself require that an individual instrument be tested periodically by the user. It does mean that the product was designed and manufactured to high standards, and if it is handled with reasonable care, will most likely maintain accuracy.
