The ET-71 OS Maverick Redi-Chek Remote BBQ & Meat Thermometer is a programmable remote meat thermometer that lets you monitor the internal temperature of meat (or other food) in your oven or barbecue grill at the grill, or wirelessly from up to 100 feet away. Whether you're entertaining or just cooking for the family, the Maverick ET-71 OS Redi-Chek meat thermometer can make life a little easier for you. That's because while you're away from the oven or grill tending to your guest's needs, the ET-71OS is minding the cooking. When your food reaches the temperature you have set, the Maverick ET-71 OS remote beeps and flashes to let you know your food is ready. Your days of running back and forth between guests and oven or grill, hoping that you haven't waited too long and overcooked the foods, will be history.

Note: There are two versions of the Maverick ET-71, the ET-71CAN, and the ET-71OS. The remote is the same. The difference is that the ET-71CAN has a silver transmitter with no display of it's own, and comes in bilingual English and French packaging. The ET-71OS has a black transmitter with a food temperature display in °F, and comes in English only packaging.

On the receiver, the food and set point temperatures in your choice of °F or °C are all displayed simultaneously. The food and set point temperature digits are about 1/2 inch tall. The food temperature is also displayed on the transmitter in °F only, in 3/8 inch digits

The ET-71 (and the included probe) are covered by a manufacturer's 90-day limited warranty.

Note: The probe of the ET-71 is designed to operate in temperatures of up to 410°F. Operating above this temperature will deteriorate the probe wire and cause probe failure. Grease flare-ups, and searing elements installed in some new grill models may be a source of excessive temperatures. Please route the probe wire to avoid these hazards.
