The TC682EL Honeywell is silver with a black analog clock dial and stands about 7 inches tall. The Honeywell TC682EL is shown here in a brightly lit room, and in a dark room with the weather display backlit and the clock face illuminated.  The red display lights come on for approximately five seconds when the snooze button on the top is pressed.  The TC682EL can rest free-standing on a table or shelf, or with the stand removed, it can hang on a wall.

Display:

The top display of the Honeywell TC682EL displays weather data.  At the top is the weather forecast icon.  One of five icons, sunny, partly cloudy, cloudy, rainy or snowy will be displayed, representing the expected weather for the next 12 to 24 hours.  Accuracy of the forecast is about 70%.  

The second line of the display shows remote temperature and humidity in 7/16" characters.  One remote sender is included, up to two additional senders may be used (not included).  Remotes may be positioned up to 200 feet away with no obstructions (range will be reduced by walls, windows or other obstructions). You may choose which remote channel to display, or the display can scroll through the remotes. 

The third line displays indoor temperature and humidity, also in 7/16" characters.  

Minimum and maximum values reached for all temperature and humidity readings (since the last manual reset) may be displayed by pressing the "Mem" button.

The lower display of the Honeywell TC682EL is a traditional quartz daily alarm clock. The alarm time is set with a dial on the side of the unit, and switched on or off.  The alarm is a Crescendo alarm, with a 4 minute snooze function activated by the button on the top of the unit.

Temperature Alarms:

The Honeywell TC682EL has high and low temperature alarm capability. You may set a high and/or a low alarm temperature.  When the temperature at the included remote sender (or any additional sender) reaches the high or low temperature set points, the alarm will sound.  Please note that the same setting is applicable to all installed remotes.  It is not possible to set different alarm temperatures for different remotes.     

Additional temperature remotes:

One TS33C remote temperature and humidity transmitter is included. Up to three remote transmitters can be used with the TC682EL. Remotes can be any combination of the following:

• TS33C. The TS33C remote transmits temperature and humidity data, and has an LCD display of its own, displaying the temperature and humidity readings that it also transmits.
• TS33F. The TS33F remote transmits temperature and humidity like the TS33C. The temperature is actually sensed at the end of a waterproof external probe wire. The TS33F can be used for many applications, including pool, pond, or spa temperature, refrigerator or freezer temperature, and greenhouse or soil temperature.
• TS23C. The TS23C is functionally the same as the TS33C except that the TS23C has no LCD display of its own.
