The G-Shock GW300A-1V Casio Wave Ceptor Tough Solar Atomic Watch is more than just a G-Shock digital watch. It's an atomic watch with radio-controlled time, and it incorporates Casio's Tough Solar powering technology, so battery replacement should never be needed. The G-Shock GW-300A-1V offers shock protection and water resistance that far exceeds most--perhaps all--other atomic wrist watches. And the watch looks great, with styling that's both high-tech and outdoors-rugged.

The G-Shock GW-300A-1V is a true world time watch, with times for 30 cities (29 time zones) available at the push of a button. This watch also features a Time Recorder Mode that lets you store up to 50 time entries (hours, minutes, and seconds). One use of this mode is to record the start and end times of particular events.

The case of the Casio GW-300A-1V is black plastic with red accents and a shiny stainless steel bezel surrounding the face. The band of the GW-300A-1V is black resin to match the case. The back of the case is stainless steel. Below the face of the GW-300A-1V, near the junction of case and band, is a pushbutton (labeled with a G for G-Shock) that lights the electro-luminescent backlight. The sides of the case contain four more recessed pushbuttons, which are big and easy to use. These are the pushbuttons that control all of this watch's other functions--and there are plenty of them! Features and Functions:

Atomic watch receives time calibration radio signals (WWVB, Fort Collins, Colorado, 60 kHz) that keep the displayed time accurate.
Time calibration signal reception:
- Auto receive function (four times per day at 2:00, 3:00, 4:00, and 5:00 a.m.).
- Manual receive function.
Calendar system: Auto-calendar pre-programmed from year 2000 to 2099.
World time: 30 cities, 29 time zones, with daylight saving time on/off status individually selectable for each city code.
1/100 second stopwatch:
- Measuring capacity: 23:59' 59.99".
- Measuring modes: elapsed time, split/lap time, 1st-2nd place.
Time Recorder: memory for 30 records, each containing month, day, hours, minutes, and seconds, A for a.m. or P for p.m. in 12-hour mode, and standard time or DST.
5 daily alarms: 4 one-time, 1 snooze.
Hourly time signal.
12-hour or 24-hour time format.
Electro-luminescent backlight with afterglow and a user-selectable auto-light function (backlight automatically turns on when you angle the watch toward your face).
200-meter water resistant (if buttons are not pushed when submerged).
Three-level battery power indicator.
Signal strength indication for time signals.
Accuracy: ±15 seconds per month (with no signal calibration).
Powered by solar cell and rechargeable battery (CTL 1616 cobalt-titanium):
Average battery life is 6 months from full charge to Low (recharge needed) under normal operating conditions specified in user manual.
