The 04053 is a large, traditionally styled analog wall clock with a molded case that's finished in antique black and accented in gold-tan, including the imitation wear scuffs. Alkaline batteries actually freeze at about -4°F. If you wish, you may want to try replacing the alkaline battery with a lithium battery and see how the clock operates in the cold. Lithium batteries generally work down to about -40°F/C.
