The TX6U uses 2 AA batteries (alkaline batteries included), and is excellent for use for extended periods of operation in cold temperatures. In harsh climates, the alkaline batteries in the TX6U may be replaced with Lithium batteries for extended low temperature operation.

The TX7U Temperature and Humidity Sensor reports the outdoor temperature and humidity (or any other location whose temperature and humidity you wish to know) to the station. This remote sensor features its own LCD display for local viewing of the temperature in °F and the relative humidity in percent. The remote has a water-resistant case, but it must not be installed in a location where rain can fall directly on it.
