Except for the fact that there's no ac power cord dangling from it, you'd swear that the Chaney 46026 Retro Analog Wall Clock dates from the 1940s or '50s. The Retro is authentically crafted with a metal case, a chrome metal bezel around the dial, and a convex glass lens. This version of the Retro has a glossy cranberry red finish on the case. The dial is off-white in color with black Arabic numbers in a type face that's totally in keeping with the retro look. Small black dots at the minute/second positions and larger cranberry red dots at the hour positions carry on the retro styling theme. The two metal hands are silver-tone with a brushed finish.

While the Retro's design is undoubtedly based on kitchen clocks of the past, feel free to use it anywhere you want: kitchen, family room, bedroom, den, office, garage, or basement. It will add a splash of cranberry red color as it recalls a bygone era in American history.

Chaney calls the Retro a 10-inch clock, but it's actually 9-3/8 inches in overall diameter with a 7-1/4 inch dial. The numbers on the dial are about 3/4 inch tall.

The 46026 Retro uses a highly accurate analog quartz clock movement. You simply insert one AA (1.5V) battery, turn a knob to set the time, and that's all there is to clock setup. The battery is not included and must be obtained separately. We recommend using an alkaline battery. Although expected battery life is not specified, we believe from our experience with this type of clock that the battery should last a year or more.
