| The Chaney Instrument
45044 John L. Chaney Signature Analog Wall Clock is a very large, traditionally styled
clock. It's a new-for-2005 addition to the Chaney Instrument Co. Fashion
Clocks line and honors the company's founder. The clock has a molded case with an aged black
finish. Its overall diameter is 24 inches. The 19-inch dial has an antiqued
finish with black Arabic numerals just over 2 inches tall.
"Antiqued" means that the dial appears to have once been white
but has yellowed and cracked with age. It's even a little darker on the
outside that it is in the middle. Below the 12-hour marker is a
reproduction of John L. Chaney's signature. The hands on this clock are
an ornate teardrop design in black, and the protective lens is glass.

The 45044 John
L. Chaney analog wall clock has a molded case with an aged
black finish. The clock face is antiqued, which means that it
appears to have yellowed and cracked with age. Large black Arabic
numerals and ornate teardrop
hands add to the clock's old-fashioned look. The protective
lens is glass. In large rooms, offices, and workspaces
with traditional decor, the John L. Chaney clock will look good
while keeping excellent time. |

The John L.
Chaney clock has a conventional analog quartz movement. Thus,
the clock
is not "atomic" and does not adjust automatically for Daylight
Saving Time, but it is extremely accurate. For a clock this size, the 45044 is priced quite reasonably.
If
you need a really big traditional clock for home, office, or workspace, the John L. Chaney signature clock
deserves serious consideration.
For powering, the
John L. Chaney clock requires one AA (1.5V) battery, which is not
included. We
recommend an alkaline battery because alkaline cells are far less
prone to leakage than the carbon-zinc type, and their leakage is
far less corrosive. Expected battery life is about 1 year.
