A new-for-2005 addition to the Acu-Rite Decorative Clocks and Thermometers collection is the 02386 Sun Terracotta Thermometer Planter. Its body is individually sculpted of real terracotta. The sun face, sun rays, and Arabic temperature numbers are in relief. The hand painted temperature numbers and the metal thermometer pointer are black. Temperatures are indicated from -20°F to +100°F at 20° intervals. The planter portion, including the thermometer supports and frame, is steel with a black finish. Because the 02386 is fairly neutral in color and weather resistant, it can be used in a wide variety of applications, both indoor and outdoor. Patios, sunrooms, family rooms, kitchens, and greenhouses are just a few suggested locations for this whimsical sun-face analog thermometer.

The 02386 is 13-1/2 inches wide by 20 inches high. The temperature numbers are about 1-1/4 inches tall. With its natural, neutral color, this thermometer and planter will complement many indoor and outdoor decor schemes nicely.

The highly accurate thermometer mechanism in the 02386 is a patented unit that can be manually calibrated (if necessary) by means of a knurled plastic knob on the back of the unit.

The 02386 thermometer/planter is designed to hang on a wall or other vertical surface. For accurate temperature readings, be sure to mount the 02386 in a location where it will not be exposed to direct sunlight or other direct heat sources. Also, if you will be using the thermometer/planter outdoors, select a location where the 02386 will be sheltered from direct precipitation.
