You'll want to select a mounting location for the 00799 that's both easy to view through a window and out of direct sunlight. Mounting the 00799 in direct sunlight causes artificially high temperature readings.

Setting up and installing the 00799 are a breeze. The required L1154 button cell battery is included and preinstalled. You simply lift the rubber seal cap from the bottom of the unit and slide the switch to the ON position to activate the unit. You then replace the rubber seal cap in its original position to properly weatherproof the unit. On the back of the main body of the 00799 (the portion below the display that contains the circuitry and battery) is a suction cup that adheres to a window. Be sure that the window area on which you mount the 00799 must is absolutely clean and dry when you install it. Moisten the suction cup before applying it to the window.
