Alarm ClocksWe have many different types of clocks in the alarm clock section, we've split them up into more specific categories to make them easier to look through. You might be looking for an Atomic Alarm Clock, Projection Alarm Clock, Travel Alarm Clock, or maybe even a reproduction retro alarm clock.
Atomic clocks (also called radio controlled clocks) receive radio transmissions that are highly accurate and set themselves accordingly. The radio transmissions get their timing information from the United States master atomic clock, which is based on the natural resonance of the cesium atom, hence the name, "atomic clock". Of course to remain accurate to a fraction of a second, atomic clocks need to be able to receive the radio signal. Like any radio receiver, the signal may not reach them in some locations. We have a large selection of atomic alarm clocks. Some of these radio controlled alarm clocks are functionally simple, while others have many additional features.
| |  Projection Alarm Clocks
Projection alarm clocks typically not only display the time on the clock, but also project the time onto the ceiling above the bed. Most (but not all) projection clocks project continuously, so you only need to look up to see what time it is, no more straining your neck to look at a clock on the night stand. Many of these projection clocks can also project indoor or outdoor temperature on the ceiling as well, and many are designed so that you can project on a wall instead of the ceiling. Typically the projected time is only bright enough to see in a dark room.

Travel alarm clocks are designed to be light and durable enough to take with when you travel. Some have standard quartz movements, some are atomic and set themselves. Beware that the radio waves that set atomic clocks are not the same wherever you go. Some atomic travel clocks only set themselves in the U.S., some can receive the radio signals of multiple countries.
